It is the policy of the Cushing Public School District that all students in grades K-12 will have the opportunity to move ahead in grade level, subject or course by demonstrating proficiency on the Oklahoma Proficiency Test or the Cushing Kindergarten Proficiency Test. Any student who scores 90% or better on the proficiency tests will be eligible for advancement to the next level of study in the appropriate curriculum area and may receive credit on his/her transcript.
Proficiency testing for the 2017-18 school year will be conducted the week before school begins. Students or parents who are interested in pursuing this opportunity, may pick up an application from the Superintendent's office, Cushing Middle School, or download one here (http://bit.ly/CPSTest). The deadline for returning this application is noon on Monday, August 14, 2017.
